Refrigerant rules for AC units
Air conditioners and dehumidifiers contain refrigerants that must be recovered by a qualified technician before the unit is scrapped. They can't be put out with garbage or mixed in with regular waste.
Central air systems and ductless splits must be disconnected by an HVAC technician before removal. Once disconnected, we'll haul them away to the right facility.
